 Ghosts of Saltmarsh: Warthakeel Ruin

Atalaya, Boz, Cirilli, and Sorrow find themselves on their own in Saltmarsh. Seraphina, ever the meddler, sets it up so her path crosses with Nevil, a young Harper Seraphina knew from before she knew Atalaya. Nevil ends up joining Atalaya's expedition to explore the source of the storms that has been plaguing Saltmarsh. These storms had been causing a lot of problems for Saltmarsh, and in particular Raven Greenleaf's ability to send the Greenleaf Farm crops to the various markets they were bound for.

While they were in Saltmarsh, an old flame of Nevil's resurfaces. Turns out, Inman Setter, the grandson of none other than Rufus Setter (he of Master Elaria's doomed adventuring party), had no idea that 1. Nevil was alive and back in Saltmarsh, and 2. That his grandfather had been turned into an horrifying undead lich and had been defeated and killed by Atalaya and her group. Both bits of news were quite a shock. Inman had become a War Wizard of Daggerford during his absence from Nevil.

So Atalaya, Boz, Nevil, and Inman set out for the ruins together at the behest of several of the Saltmarsh folk.

Turns out, the ruins were being used by a storm giant, Brinecane,whom they persuaded to relocate to Pelagia, thinking the fortress and caves of the sea stacks to the south would be remote enough to keep not only the weather from being a constant danger to the land villages, but also be a safe place for the giant to live.

After debriefing the people that had employed them to investigate the ruins and getting paid, they collected their crew and headed south to Pelagia, hoping to see how Brinecane had settled in and also eager to ensure they hadn't made a bigger problem in eliminating the first problem. They have been already planning a voyage south to Candlekeep in order to research their various problems, not the least of which is how to destroy an evil relic. Pelagia is on the way.

Gina's summary:

(Riddlepot had told Atalaya about an evil entity named Shayonna, that is the reason that the slave ships frequent the area of the islet. It's a drop off point for the entity, who is paying the slavers in a peculiar type of silvery pearls. The party had decided to put an end to that entirely and head out to the islet to confront the entity.

The next morning after the Midsummer celebrations, the party sets out to find the islet where slavers have been dropping off captives.

{They managed to kill several minor wizards and soldiers and capture Captain Christof Skarne of
The Blade. They also realize that the succubus that will not leave Sorrow alone is there, working with the Wizards. They lock Skarne in a cabin aboard their ship and question him. He has been working with the Red Wizards because he's afraid of them. He is a slaver, and scumbag, but he may be useful to them as a member of the Sea Princes, so they take off with him. He tells them Captain Hawk has gotten some unwanted attention from the Wizards, as she has made it clear that she refuses to work with them.}
