8-7-24 Night 9th/ Morning 10th of Eleasis

After a pitched battle with the party and the Sash battling the werewolves, the Good Guys emerge victorious.

It is learned that one of the reasons the Sash favors this place and didn't just let the wolves have it is because the cemetery contains a portal to the Shadowfell. Once upon a time, a hag pulled the youngest child's body out of her grave and used it to make the portal. Nevil gets permission to close it and the party starts planning.

Also turns out the basement of the chalet is haunted too, this time by the spirit of Lord Brantifax himself, who fell down the well one night and perished.

The party digs up the child's grave and ends up in the Shadowfell. They cleansed the grave, but did not find any remains. They return to the house.

9-11-24, 10th/11th of Eleasis

The party returns to the nursery, to find that not only is the poltergeist still there, but she is not happy that they failed to find her bones.

They group decides they will have to try again, but they have a meeting with Captain Hawk that they cannot miss. So after promising to return, they head back to Blue Haven without Boz. Boz, having realized that the Sash could help him learn about his innate Gurrish mind powers, decides to stay at the chalet until the party returns.

The group goes wide around the area they know is inhabited by the red drakes. They make a day camp to rest in a beautiful grotto near a creek, scattered with flowers and colorful red mushrooms.

These mushrooms push themselves out of the ground, revealing malevolent faces, flashing sickles, and stomping metal boot, clearly bent on blood and murder. This is a difficult battle, and there were several very close calls. During the battle, Nevil calls out to her goddess in desperation for help.

After the battle, they patch themselves up as best they can, and head into Blue Haven, meeting with Mother Bettewhyte and getting her advice on what to do about the child's grave at the chalet. She agrees to send a small contingent from the temple to accompany them.

9-25-24 Hawk's Islet

12th of Eleasis

The party meets Captain Hawk's crew for breakfast. They agree to go ahead and spread rumors about their acquiring the artifact in order to make it less likely the Red Wizards will continue to pursue Hawk and her crew. They make plans to travel to the islet to retrieve the buried Eye. When they reach the islet, they discover that the Wizards have had sahuagin spies following their ship there, and a sahuagin priestess opens a portal, letting a contingent of Wizards and their muscle onto the islet. A pitched battle ensues and the party retrieves the Eye.

10-11-24

12th of Eleasis cont:

The party and Hawk's crew patch themselves up, loot the slain and part ways. Nevil questions Sorrow about his weird trait of having his blood turn to glass when he bleeds. He shrugs it off as just one of those weird tiefling traits that some have. The conversation turns towards his family, of whom he distrusts and avoids. They live in Baldur's Gate.

The party makes it back to Blue Haven my evening. A note saying that the party plan to return to the manor in the morning, and that they will meet with those coming with the party then.  They have dinner at the Wind Rose.

13th of Eleasis

In the morning, the party, plus a small contingent of priestesses and guards from Mother Bettewhyte's temple set out for the return trip to the chalet, which is without any real incident. Boz is overjoyed to see them. He has learned many things during his stay, including the fact that the Gur are very resistant to the effects of the Shadowfell, and also how to work with and focus his innate mental powers. He reveals that he has joined the tribe and now is a member of the Scarlet Sash.  We discuss how we plan to deal with getting into the Shadowfell in the morning. When the priestesses and their guards go to bed, we continue to talk upstairs. Once we think everything is settled Vinique tells us that we will need to wait until midnight to get into the Shadowfell. The plan is revised and the priestesses notified.

14th of Eleasis

The day is spent in meditations, flirting and scouting of the werewolve's campsite.  In the afternoon the gravesite is dug up again.

15th of Eleasis

As midnight arrives, the group (minus Cirilli who is guarding the bag of holding in the manor) and one of the priestesses and a guard enter the Shadowfell through the open grave. They end up fighting some gargoyles, and then set to gathering all the bones of the child they can find. The priestesses perform a ritual over the bones and then give them a proper burial. When they return to the nursery, the spirit of the child is gone.

10-23-24

Early (pre dawn 15th Eleasis)

While we fill in the grave there they discuss various things, such as Boz's new skills, information about the shapechanging aspect of the wereravens of the Scarlet Sash, and Boz now being considered one of their tribe. It begins to dawn on everyone that Sorrow and Madrina have been fooling around on the sly.

15th of Eleasis, Noon

Everyone wakes up around noon. Cirilli gets a horse riding lesson. We have a party with dancing that evening.

16th of Eleasis

The groups part ways and the party returns to Mother Bettewhyte in Blue Haven. She tells them she is concerned about one of the sisters from the temple having not shown back up when she was expected to, after an excursion down the coast to the south. (Baldur's Gate is implied.) She was expected to be back last week. The last she has heard was that she would be reaching Somerset soon. Mother Bettewhyte gives them instructions who to contact and also gives Boz two letters to deliver, one for the missing Sister Dorthea and the other to the head priestess, Sister Tali of the Selune Temple in Somerset.

The party board their ship and head south.

17th and 18th of Eleasis

When they reach Somerset, they discover the town in chaos, with undead completely infesting the town. They,(Vaz, Sorrow, Nevil and Inman) accompanied by the Selune Temple's Sister Tali,  end up rescuing several children and a half orc in the streets cult members while having to fight their way to the temple.

18th of Eleasis: Evening cont. Fighting in Somerset Temple

Tali tells them that Zarius Silverblood leads the Cult of the Damned, a small cult that has suddenly grown in power. The group engages the cult in an attempt to disrupt the ritual.  They realize that the cult leader, Zarius, has already started a ritual to call make more undead in the graveyard.  The party finds the source of the undead infestation. A ritual taking place in the graveyard. They have an intense fight with Zarius and the undead spirits that he has called forth.

19th of Eleasis: Exploring Zarius' House

After stopping the ritual and defeating all evil foes present, the party investigates the home of Zarius Silverblood. They discover hostages, many of whom are children, and battle cultists and undead to free them.

1-22-25 Leaving Sommerset

After the memorial service for those slain in Sommerset, the Hond Ebrath sets sail on it's journey towards Candlekeep.

The ship is attacked by a small kraken, and the group must defend it. The ship ends up with a cracked mast and in need of repairs. Fortunately, Ivar knows of a pirate speakeasy hidden along the coast called The Harpy, where he hopes to find a shipwright that can make the repairs.

They meet an elven shipwright named Darter, who can make some temporary repairs. Turns out, he's the shipwright who built the Hond Ebrath.
